Founding of National Woman Suffrage Association
On May 15,1869, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B Anthony made herstory by founding the National Woman Suffrage Association (NWSA). These two ladies were trailblazers in pushing for a constitutional amendment to achieve women's suffrage, getting equal pay for women, as well as fighting for many other women's rights issues.
"It was we, the people; not we, the white male citizens; nor yet we, the male citizens; but we, the whole people, who formed the Union." -S.B. Anthony
