Bertha von Suttner
On 12.10.1905, Bertha von Suttner made HERstory by becoming the 1st woman to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. In 1889, Bertha authored Lay Down Your Arms, making her a leading figure in the peace movement. Bertha also broke gender barriers by her work as a writer and activist in a time when women were mostly "seen and not heard." Let there be peace.
